A fine and rare pair of Italian carved walnut demi-lune consoles tables, Tuscan/Emilian late 17th century

Description

  • 80cm. high,160cm. wide, 78cm. deep; 2ft.7¼in., 5ft.2½in., 2ft.6¼in.
each with a moulded top above an arcaded frieze on ring-turned baluster legs joined by stretchers on disc feet

Condition

Old marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and gouges and water stains to the top as visibe from the photograph. There are horizontal construction cracks across the top which can either be left or filled. Minor chips and losses to the legs and feet, but these do not detract from the piece. Some old very minor restorations commensurate with age. Evidence of old worm which appears no longer active. In overall good condition. Good pair of tables. Nice size.
