Description
- each: 44cm. high, 40cm. wide; 1ft.4¾in., 1ft.3¼in.
each of octangonal form with a pierced winged female mask at each angle with a band inlaid with roundels of marble and pietre dure interposed by a female mask and foliate mounts; now mounted as a mirror
Condition
The mounts are rather dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Some minor wear to ebonising and to the brass band. Some of the inlaid stones are later replacements. One of the mounts on the top of the mirror has been re-soldered and is lacking its gilding. Evidence of re-gluing to the frame of the mounts. In overall good condition.
