- overall 87cm., high; 2ft. 10¼in.
probably a newell post from a staircase, in the form of atlante with Ionic surmount and waisted goulliche carved support, on a later stepped red damask covered stand
Condition
Generally good. The post with typical old chipping and some minor fragmenting. One side of the pillar with traces of filler. The back with traces of worm. The front has a partial sympathetic repair. The captial drilled for electricity. The damask with wear and with tears and fragmenting.
