rare. Part of the series Neuestes Gemälde der Erde. We have been unable to trace this work in any of the usual bibliographies, though it occasionally appears in German auctions. The second volume calls for six plates on the title page, but in fact there are seven. The lot is sold not subject to return.
The plates include Athens, various islands, and costume plates. The first volume includes a chapter on Cyprus.
