Catalogue Note
rare. This work is similar to others published by Enderlin, Trinum marinum, in which some of the same plates occur, Archipelagus turbatus and Republic Venedig. All these works seem to have been inspired by the illustrated historico-geographical descriptions of Coronelli, and were published to take advantage of the interest in the region aroused by the Austro-Venetian-Turkish wars of 1684-90.
