Catalogue Note

a fine copy in original condition. The work is rare: only a small number were printed as the work was not intended for general circulation. Like Chateaubriand, Didot was a member of the Société en faveur des grecs, and at the vanguard of French philhellenism. A second part to the notes was planned but never published.
