"1843 was the year that the first Greek constitution was demanded from King Otho. The author was a member of the Stephanopoli de Comnène family of Corsica and also wrote Histoire de la colonie grecque en Corse, 1826. He developed into a pamphleteer who wrote Génie des colonies grecques, 1843 and Guerres impies... 1853, on the impending Crimean war" (Atabey).

The Greek work is a translation of the French by the anonymous 'P.B.K.'.
