Description

  • 18, 22.5 and 23cm. high.
each with funnel bowl, set on a slender multi-knopped stem and conical foot, one engraved with the Royal coats-of-arms of Great Britain, France and Ireland, as used between 1714 and 1801, flanked by a lion and a unicorn supporter, one engraved with the crowned coat-of-arms of Van Aersen Beieren van Sommelsdijk, flanked by an eagle and a lion supporter, the reverse with allegorical scene, and one engraved with the coats-of-arms of the Des Tombe, flanked by putti and framed by scrollwork, engraved to the reverse Des Tombe en Draekenborch / gebeure ramp nog zorg / Die hunne vreugd kenhind'ren: zy leven langh gezont / En zien hun Trouwverbont / Verrykt met lieve kind'ren

Condition

All three glasses are in overall good condition with some minor light surface scratching. There is a small shallow chip to the underside of the glass with the coats-of-arms of Van Aersen Beieren van Sommelsdijk. There is a small damage to the connection between the stem and the conical foot to the glass with the coats-of-arms of Des Tombe .
