- 310cm. high including Atlas.
36-cm brass dial with engraved border and foliate spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and signature plaque inscribed Theunis Haakma Leeuwarden, pierced hands and subsidiaries for seconds and tune selection, apertures for date, day, month and moonphase in the arch flanked by finely engraved figures, anchor movement with trip repeating rack Dutch half hour striking on two alternating bells, playing with a 10-cm cylinder one of six melodies with 25 hammers on 13 bells, walnut case with shaped top surmounted by a gilt metal Atlas and two angels, shaped cornice with a carved ornament over pierced wood frets, brass capped ebonized pilasters flanking the glazed front door, shaped door to the canted trunk with Europe lenticle, shaped moulded base with scroll base raised on scroll feet
Condition
dial very tarnished but of good quality engraving and should clean up very nicely, movement able to function and play but very dirty and in need of a complete overhaul, melodies are paired 3 x 2, playing one of the two melodies every half hour, case with reconstructed top prt of the hood, overall pale but structurally alright, later Atlas and angels, case was made to stand in a corner because the back of the base has canted sides to fit a corner, the feet are also positioned for this, together with three weights, winder, doorkey, pendulum and three statuettes. Please note the height of the clock should read 310cm
