34-cm arch brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, signed Sipkerinses Grouw, foliate pierced hands, sweep seconds and alarm disc, apertures for date, day, month and moonphase in the arch, anchor movement with trip repeating rack Dutch quarter striking on two alternating bells, alarm on a bell, mahogany case, shaped hood with carved ornament above pierced frets, break arch glazed door flanked by corner columns, canted trunk with carved rosettes flanking the long shaped door with urn lenticle, moulded bombed base raised on ball and claw feet
Condition
dial in good condition, recently cleaned, sweep seconds hand probably replaced, movement in good condition and able to function, case a little dark, dark varnish has been put on to cover some restorations and imperfections to the veneer but case structurally sound, finials and top of hood lacking, together with two weights, a pendulum, a key and a winder
