Two various French street organs

  • 33cm. and 16cm. high.
the larger signed Mignon, music controlled by punched paper rolls, ebonized case with hinged lid, the smaller one playing one of eight airs as listed on a tune sheet with an 18-cm cylinder on 10 metal pipes, walnut case with label Jerome Thibouville - Lamy, Paris

Condition

Both organs are in original condition and need of restoration and cleaning, the larger organ is complete but the rubber bands that connect the winder with the rest need to be tightened again, some of the pulleys need to be refastened, case is in dirty condition with a slot for the winder cut at the front. smaller box is able to function but the bellow is not pumping enough air, all the pipes are there and it should function after the bellow has been looked at, case in good condition, one chip at the back panel next to the joint (was a knot in the wood) of about 2 x 4 cm.
