- 79.5cm. high.
13.5-cm enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals and blue outer date marking, pierced engraved gilt hands and blued sweep seconds and date pointer, skeletonized centre and frontplate of the countwheel bell striking movement with pinwheel escapement mounted on the backplate, 21-cm pinned cylinder playing one of twelve melodies on 10 metal pipes, mounted in the base of the black and white marble case surmounted by an urn with flowers, flanked by lyres and foliate finials, a pierced mount with 'wedgewood' medallion below, supported by four shaped ormolu mounted columns, moulded rectangular base with arched steps and applied foliate mounts, central section with foliate scrolled pierced ormolu mounts and another 'wedgewood' medallion between stop-fluted black marble pilasters, pierced brass side doors, lacking back panel, moulded plinth on bun feet

attractive chapter ring in good condition, hands in good condition, probably replaced sweep seconds, movement in good condition and able to function, front glass lacking, case in original dirty condition with the gilding of most parts intact, top tier of the base with a repair to the corner, lower plinth with three hairline cracks to the marble, backpanel of the base lacking, musical mechanism able to function and playing but needs to be adjusted, connection rod between the musical mechanism and the movement with the clock but loose, together with a pendulum, no winders
