  • 52cm. high.
19-cm ormolu relief chapter ring with blue cartouche Roman numerals on velvet covered dial, pierced and engraved gilt hands, ormolu mount below with cherubs and a mask incorporating an enamel signature plaque signed Clouzier A Paris, similar signed numbered countwheel bell striking movement with baluster pillars, silk suspended pendulum with cycloid cheeks, brass bound turtleshell veneered case with ebonized borders, domed top surmounted by eight finials, brass moulded arched glazed panels to the front door and sides, Corinthian capitals to the stop-fluted pilasters, plinth with protruding corners flanking a foliate pierced and engraved drape mount, raised on square concave sided feet

Condition

dial slightly tarnished but in good condition, movement able to function and in good condition, cycloid cheeks/ verge crownwheel/ up and down arrangement restored but all well done, attractive case a little dirty but in good condition, very nice turtleshell panels and brass details, brass parts probably all gilt but hard to tell, together with a pendulum and doorkey
