A small and attractive French Transitional ormolu mantel clock, Cronier

7.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Cronier A Paris, pierced hands, flat bottomed countwheel bell striking movement with tic-tac escapement and silk suspended pendulum, finely cast and chiseled ormolu case surmounted by a basket with flowers, trellis front and side panels, leaves to the sides terminating in scroll feet, break front relief moulded base raised on scroll feet

dial in good condition, hands replaced (could be improved), movement complete and well made but now dirty and in need of an overhaul, anchor seems to be bent because now no action, striking train fine, case very well made and the quality of the casting and gilding is very good, gilding intact, front probably had an extra leaf i.e. because of an unused hole, bezel lacking glass and loose, attractive small clock by a good maker, together with a pendulum
