A rare Austrian polychrome painted quarter striking 'blinking eyes' mantel clock

6-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute hand lacking, three train rack quarter striking movement with verge escapement connected to the eyes of the polychrome painted sculpted wood case in the form of a deer with a crucifix between it's antlers referring to the story of St. Hubert, on a rectangular moulded plinth with carved relief border

dial dirty but seems to be alright and is easily cleaned, minute hand lacking, movement complete but in very dirty condition and in need of a complete overhaul, connection of the movement to the hands loose but with the clock, levers for the eyes automaton loose but easily fixed, case dirty but original polychrome, some chips to the paint, antlers with two small imperfections but broken tips with the clock, decorative and rare clock in an untouched condition, together with a few loose pieces and arbour, no winder
