Description
- 126cm. wide, 44cm. wide, 28cm. deep.
the doors opening to reveal a central door and nine drawers, the hinged top, doors and inner central door incorporating painted classical scenes of Venus and Adonis, the later stand with one drawer and sliding surface
Condition
In reasonably good condition, minor losses, restorations and hairline cracks to the tortoiseshell, back panel of cabinet partly loose, right front door with lacking part of moulding and inner door with some moulding parts lacking as well (some still there), stand and cabinet with the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use.
Painted panels: each panel with general wear due to age, minor holes to the surface due to old woodworm in underlying wood, a few minor cracks to the parchment and minor restorations and retouches, large doors with a few small replacements to corners, each panel in reasonably good condition.
