• cal. 95290 manual winding damascened nickel lever movement, 54 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to 5 positions, minute repeating on steel gongs • silvered dial with applied Arabic numerals, feuille hands, pearled minute track, engine-turned subsidiary seconds at 9 o'clock • oversized 18k pink gold case with down-turned lugs, minute repeating slide in the band, sapphire crystal display back • case, dial and movement signed • with an 18k pink gold IWC folding buckle
Condition
Manual winding movement running while cataloguing. Minute repeating sound is rich in tone. Dial is clean. Case and buckle with light scuffs from wear, but this can easily be polished. Hallmarks are clear. Overall the watch is in good condition.

The minute repetition mechanism developed in early pocket watches is a fine and rare complication found in wristwatches. Using the slide the watch will chime, on demand, first the hours, then the quarters and finally the minutes. Two small polished steel hammers within the case resonate a high and low pitched chime to facilitate the audible time indication.
