  • Pepys: diameter 50 mm, Pace: diameter 44 mm
• Pepys: gilt verge movement, signed Jno. Pepys, London 2792, square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, pierced and engraved silver masked balance cock and foot, pierced and engraved serpent around the regulator • gold champlevé dial, Roman numerals, Arabic outer, blued steel beetle and poker hands • yellow gold outer repoussé case with classical scene, plain gold polished inner case, hallmarked London 1786 • Pace: gilt full plate lever movement signed Henry Pace, London 2047, fusee and chain, plain three-arm balance, engraved balance cock, diamond end-stone • gold dial, engine turned chapter ring with Roman numerals, the edge with three colour gold floral decoration • 18k gold engine turned case, the bezels with scrolling foliage, hallmarked London 1831 

Condition

Pepys: Movement appears to be complete and would run but the fusee chain is broken and detached. Dial with some scuffs and some loss to the black enamel numerals. The inner case with indentations to the band, repoussé scene a little rubbed, pendant is gilt metal. PACE: The movement running, may benefit from a service. Dial with scuffs, case back very rubbed and the engine turning worn.
