Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing. The dial has been refinished. The case overall scuffed from wear. Case number 74801.

Catalogue Note

The inscription to the case reads 'Presented to George Troman to mark a quarter century of continuous service with the T. Eaton Co. Limited 1908 - 1933. In the 1930s and 1940s Rolex was commissioned by T. Eaton & Co., one of Canada's largest department store chains, to produce a series of Prince watches. These iconic watches were given to employees to mark 25 years service with the firm.

This model, Ref. 971, the Prince Brancard, was one of the two first Prince models launched by Rolex in 1928 and is distinguished by its elegant flared sides.
