• cal. 215 manual winding damascened nickel lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 18 jewels, free-sprung Gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions • satin finished blue dial, applied baton numerals • 18k white gold oval case with polished chamfered bezel • integral 18k white gold satin finished bracelet • case, dial, movement and bracelet signed

Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing. There are some specs of dust on the dial but overall it is in good condition. Some very slight scuffs to the case from wear , the case back appears to have been re-grained. Overall the watch looks in good condition.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Origin and an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1980 and sale on September 7th, 1981. Together with instructions and presentation case.

The Ellipse model was launched by Patek Philippe in 1968 under reference number 3548. Ref. 3748 replaced the 3548 in 1976 and used the calibre 215 (28800 oscillations), instead of calibre 23-300 (19800 oscillations).
Patek Philippe manufactured ref. 3748 for approximately a decade, the model was discontinued around 1987.
