Description
- with monogramm MB in underglaze blue to the reverse for Mathijs Boender, dated 5 Oct 1726
- 23.5cm. high, 25.5cm. wide.
in octagonal dented shape, each painted with a scene of resting peasants under broad floral and ornamental borders
Condition
In overall good condition, both with the typical small chips, glaze losses and frits to the rims, the left plaque with restored upper right corner (ca. 7cm. long) and overpainted, craquelé within the glaze, little glaze abrasion and scratches; the right plaque with one shallow chip to the reverse lower rim (ca. 1 by 1.5cm.), various smaller retouches to the front right side (hardly visible due to elaborate restoration), craquelé within the glaze, minor scratching and abrasion to the glaze.
