Description

  • 42.5cm. diameter.
the centre with grey painted lion reserved against gilt crowned shield, above oblong cartouche inscribed VLAANDEREN, imbedded in peony and other flowering branches pattern, surrounded by flying birds, under a broad blue and white border set with six shaped medallions with figural scenes or floral and bird motif, and with smaller medallions with fish and lobsters

Condition

In overall good condition with some minor wear and scratching to the gilding and enamels, few minor sand inclusions, one small firing flaw and related small shallow chip to the foot rim.
