30.5-cm matted brass dial engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Ellicott London, foliate pierced hands, date aperture and subsidiaries for seconds and strike/silent, rococo spandrels, five pillar rack bell striking movement with deadbeat escapement, probably associated to the mahogany case, pagoda top surmounted by three brass flambeau finials with foliate pierced blind frets, break arch glazed door flanked by brass capped stop-fluted columns, moulded break arch door, base with moulded panel raised on a double plinth
Condition
chapter ring slightly tarnished, minute hand bent, quality movement in orinigal but dirty condition and working order, heavy pendulum, steel suspension lacking, seatboard heightened by blocks indicating a probable association to this case but fitting well, case in original pale condition, with shrinking cracks to the veneer to both sides of the base, together with two doorkeys, a winder, a pendulum, two weights and three finials
