- 46.5cm. high.
10.5-cm engine turned silvered dial with Roman numerals and Breguet hands, countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended pendulum, ormolu case with heavy foliate mouldings, a theatrical opening above showing a study with Napoleon going left to right driven by a separate mechanism, acanthus moulded base raised on foliate scrolled feet
Condition
dial tarnished (needs to be resilvered), movement recently cleaned and in working order, axis of both spring barrels repaired (with center point) could be improved, bell hammer repaired, case in original condition, the top part a little dirty, casting and gilding of good quality, automaton functioning circa a day on one winding, together with a pendulum and a winder
