18-cm square brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Thomas Vernon London, foliate mask spandrels and apertures for date and mock pendulum, lever for strike/silent above XII, five pillar fusee verge movement with similarly signed foliate engraved backplate, hour striking on a bell, pull wind quarter repeating on three bells, moulded ebony case with dome top and foliate pierced brass mounts surmounted by a handle, glazed doors and sides, moulded plinth raised on flat feet, restorations

dial and hands in good condition, one wheel for the date ring restored, front plate with two large pluggen unidentified holes indicating a possible altered dial, movement in working order and in good condition, plugged holes n the left side of the movement indicate an earlier quarter repeating being removed, restored to the way it is now, case a little dirty with some scratches due to age and use, the mounts on the front door replaced (head mounts on all four sides), new seatboard for movement, movement with later fixation to the bottom of the case (for extra support to the fixation of the movement with the dial to the case), two unidentified holes in the bottom of the case and two unidentified holes on the inside of the mask, well possible that movement and case do not originally belong together.
