- 61cm. high.
14.5-cm enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals and inner date marking, signed in red Orange A Versailles, gilt pierced hands and steel date pointer, skeletonized centre reveiling the substantial countwheel bell striking movement with anchor escapement, gridiron pendulum suspended from the ormolu lyre shaped case surmounted by a flower urn with foliate scrolls, oval moulded base with ormolu mounts raised on engraved toupee feet, bronze work of good quality
Condition
chapter ring a little dirty, a few hairline cracks between VI and VII, quality hands but minute hand repaired (could be improved), case of very good quality in original condition (a little dirty), gilding appears to be intact and should clean up nicely, marble base with minor rim chips due to age and wear but nothing serious, pendulum probably converted from knife edge suspension to steel suspension, together with a pendulum.
