The musical mechanism will automatically change the melody every 24 hours which of course means that there is a different tune for each day of the week. The melody will change between twelve at night and six in the morning during which time the clock doesn't play its tunes. After six in the morning the musical mechanism will start to play again but now with the changed tune.
