Description

  • 275cm. high.
56-cm painted dial with Roman numerals and diamond hands, foliate carved spandrels, wood posted anchor movement with countwheel striking on a bell, 55-cm cylinder playing one of seven tunes on 46 pipes, mahogany case with concave mouldings, glazed front and sides to the hood, moulded base raised on tapered feet

Condition

dial a little tarnished with a few chips to the painting and a crack below the chapter ring, movement in working order (might need some attention, because of wood plates), musical mechanism was functioning very well at the client, musical mechanism has two registers, enamel plaque for tune selection at the side with two large chips, hood with a crack at the left side, later doors to the sides mounted on the movement leaving some space above and below, case of rich colour with some veneer cracks to the front and a large one to the middle part of the base, a few cracks to the sides of the base (one large), together with three weights, a winder, a doorkey and a pendulum
