Description

  • 264cm. high incl. finial.
30-cm brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, foliate pierced hands, date aperture and subsidiaries for seconds and strike/silent, foliate mask spandrels and silvered signature plate signed Ger.t Rensman fecit Zwol, anchor movement with ring turned knopped pillars and trip repeating Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells, burr walnut veneered case with moulded top surmounted by three ball finials, foliate pierced frets above and below the moulded break arch corners, glazed front door with flat pilasters, straight trunk with long break arch cross banded door and oval lenticle, square moulded base raised on bun feet

Condition

dial in slightly dirty original condition, hands good, movement in working order and good condition, case of nice wood, the top with later dome cresting, further some shrinking cracks to the hood but nothing major, trunk and base a little pale but in original condition, plinth possibly replaced, together with a pendulum, a winder, a doorkey, three finials and two weights
