Description

  • The base inscribed B. Zach
  • 23cm high including base.
carved ivory with details painted in brown and silver-green, the bronze cold painted in shades of red, brown silver and gold on a mottled green marble base. (base possibly not original)

Condition

The ivory in good condition but for a small slit and the discolouring to the throat running down to the collarbone caused by the nerve of the tooth. The coldpaint of the bronze probably retouched. The marble base possibly replaced; the signature thus possibly not original. Several chips and damages to the base
