Description

  • bronze inscribed M. Le Verrier with indistinct foundry stamp

  • 59cm. high including base.
carved ivory with details painted in silver and black and col painted bronze in silver and brown on cream and brown onyx base

Condition

The ivory in good condition. The black and silver staining probably retouched. The two torches detachable. The coldpaint of the bronze probably retouched. The onyx base in good condition but for a crack in the right segment.
