- scepter mark in underglaze blue, stamped in red with orb and KPM mark, painted purple numerals 45. and 148/121.1, impressed LY and L2
- 83cm. high.
the baluster-shaped body polychrome and gilt painted with pheasants perched on branches between ornamental borders

Condition
The vase in overall good condition with very few little glaze scratches, small shallow chip to the upper rim, the cover with re-stuck chip to the rim (ca. 9cm. long), one small piece missing.

Theodor Hermann Schmuz-Baudiss was one of the most important representatives of the Jugendstil and became art director of KPM Berlin in 1908.
For its 150th anniversary, he designed the Ceres service which is considered one of the finest services of the late Jugendstil.
