- the senser signed Shoka No Ko Ni Gamu No Ko Nichi Kirite Haruo (The carver Harijo, an elegant dream in early summer), the Okimono signed Harutsugu
- 11 and 17.5cm. high.
the censer chased, engraved in high and low relief and inlaid in shakudo, gilt and cloisonné enamels witha continuous band of peonies, the cover with chrysanthemums and iris finial, silver liner; the Okimono modelled as a quail and millet with engraved feather work and enamel details, wooden base

Condition
The censer: In overall good condition with some very minor typical dents, marks and scratches, minor losses to the enamels, some wear to the gilding. The Okimono: In overall good condition, some wear to the gilding, both ornaments slightly loose on the wooden base, the base therefore with scratching around the quail's claw, imperfection to the quail's tail, minor warping to some of the leaves.
