Condition

Tapestry panel is lined with linen. This is a fragment comprised of two joined fragments therefore there is a join up the centre. It has been sympathetically completed. There is some late 19th century/early 20th century rewoven repair, top centre where the two panels join, see the lion head masks. Some minor repairs generally and some reweaving, one area of example is the top right corner terracotta colour to the horizontal narrow border. Decorative piece, with charming details and of a versatile size.
