Description

  • stamped in iron-red to the underside C.H.F. Lux
  • 46cm. high
each amphora-shaped body painted with central panel with flower bouquet and central panel with musical trophy to the reverse, the neck with butterflies and trophies, all reserved against light blue ground, applied with large shaped mask handles, on square base 

Condition

Some wear to the gilding, especially to rims and moulded parts, minor rubbing to the painting and minor losses to the enamels, handles and feet partly refreshed; one vase with larger shallow chip (ca. 2 by 4cm.) to reverse of plinth (restored and damaged again); one vase with very fine hairline crack to underside of the foot. In overall good condition. Attractive pair.
