Description

  • 105cm. high; 3ft. 5½in.
the pierced corona suspending lustres above a tent with graduated festoons of faceted glass connecting to a gallery supporting six gilt-bronze foliate cast scrolled branches each with a cut glass drip tray and candle holder and hung with lustres, the underside with a series of tiers each hung with conforming lustres terminating in a boldly cut globe pendant

Condition

A very decorative lot of pleasing proportions. There are Restorations which include one later, but well, copied sconce. There are chips to components of the festoons - including one which is broken and crudely fixed with a wire. There are chips to the lustres. There are a few drops and lustres lacing although these losses generally do not detract. The gallery is slightly mis-shapen. The vendor used candles so this piece has never been wired for electricity. To discuss this lot in greater detail please call Edward Rising on 0207 293 5507 or David MacDonald on 0207 293 5107
