Condition

Very distressed. There is a big difference between the image of the chimney piece shot in situ in the catalogued and in its current dismantled state. There are some new breaks and fractures. The mantlepiece is cut into two sections. The whole chimney piece has been reduced in size. There are sections of Antico Verde now lacking to the flutes, border of the entablature and side returns. There are some losses. There are fractures or breaks to most components, both old and new. Chips to the female figures. Gallery viewing is strongly recommend and photographs are available if desired of the Chimney piece in its current state.
