with fretwork and foliate motifs including bone and mother of pearl details, the pagoda surmount above open shelves flanked by pillars with entwined dragons, the base with trellis gallery and ogee shaped feet, the reverse with ivorine retail label `Edwards & Roberts, Wardour St., 126 Piccadilly, 532 Oxford St., London'



 



 

Very good condition. Some chips to the carving throughout. One of the dragons on the lower section has a broken tail which has been rather crudely restored. The unusual layout of the piece does suggest that it may well have been adapted and anglicised by Edwards and Roberts.
