A lacquer escritoire on stand 18th century, possibly Chinese

the upper section with brass corner mounts and a fall front revealing pigeonholes,  the sides with brass carrying handles, on a stand with a cavetto frieze and cabriole legs, decorated throughout with panels of trailing oak leaves and acorns in gilt and green on a black ground layed on to a silvered foundation, the upper part with gilt Greek key borders, some brass corner mounts replaced, the decoration possibly early 19th century

In country house condition with wear losses and restoration to decoration. Top with some bruising, wear and old marks and scratches. Some colour variations to decoration due to natural fading. Age cracks to right hand side of upper section. Stand with a crack to the top left side. Restorations to feet including splicing to the back left leg which is also chipped.
