A Charles II oak chest of drawers second half 17th century

with canted brackets to the frieze, the two short and three long drawers with mitred mouldings, on later bun feet and with minor losses

Attractive size. The top has pronounced separations, splits and an old repair on the front right corner. The front frieze has moulding lacking to the left canted bracket. Some repairs to mouldings on drawer fronts and some chipping to carcase. The right side has a replaced canted frieze bracket at the front. This side also has some water marks. Some losses on the front apron rail. Rear boards and all feet later. Worm to drawer linings. Drawer floors with applied pink paper and with typical splits and separations.
