A Spanish carved walnut centre table 17th century

with a rectangular top, above three frieze drawers carved with a pair of stylised flowerheads, opposing dummy drawers, on trestle supports joined by iron stretchers; alterations 

Colour slightly lighter and more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. Old marks, chips and scratches and water stains and stains generally to the top commensurate with age and usage. There is a crack in the middle of the left side which shows evidence of previous restoration but which is opening up again and would benefit from some being filled. Evidence of old worm which appears to be no longer active. Drawers probably relined. There are construction cracks in the moulded section beneath the drawers which may well be a later addition. Small diagonal crack across the top of the left drawer. There are gaps where the drawers meet the carcass due to natural shrinkage. In otherwise good condition.
