Description
- 57cm. high, 71cm. wide, 215cm. long; 1ft. 10½in., 2ft. 4in., 7ft. ¾in.
with a pierced gallery incorporating royal cyphers interspersed by plinths applied with gilt-bronze ram heads and foliate garlands, each plinth surmounted by Sèvres biscuit porcelain classical figures, the base with later fitted mirrors, each figure with an impressed factory mark featuring the Louis-Phillipe monogram and the date 1846
Condition
This highly decorative surtout de table is in good restored condition overall. The figures all show signs of restoration especially to the baskets, which have repaired cracks and have been resprayed. (This restoration is not immediately odvious).The gilt-brozne has been cleaned and the marble is in good order. The mirror plates are later replacements.
