the shaped bevelled plate within a border richly decorated with scrolls en rocaille, with summer flowers, birds and foliage, with a matching console base (not illustrated and lacking top), on scroll feet, distressed

Condition

The mirror in reasonable condition but with fairly extensive chips and losses including a break to the upper right hand scroll, the mirror plate discoloured and partially flaking as one would expect on a mirror of this date. The console base with the original top completely lacking and only small sections of the frieze still extant. The boldly scrolled legs in similar condition to the mirror, with chips and losses. As the catalogue description indicates, this mirror and table in need of extensive restoration. The top of the table is completely lacking as is most of the frieze, there is surface dirt and chipping to the legs. The mirror is in better overall condition but there is considerable surface dirt and numerous chips to the foliage, birds and flowers. There is cushion moulding between the frame and the glass which has been repainted and is cracked in places.
