- paper scroll caddy: 13cm. high, 18cm. wide, 10cm. deep; 5¼in., 7¼in., 4in. Satinwood caddy: 11.5cm. high, 12cm. wide, 10cm. deep: 4½in., 4¾in., 4in. Oval caddy: 13cm. high, 12.5cm., 12cm.; 5¼in., 5in., 4¾in.
decorated all over with stylised flowers, the interior with a lid, together with a George III rectangular satinwood caddy, circa 1800 inlaid with fan motifs and with chequer-strung tulipwood crossbanded borders and a George III black oval papier mâché caddy, circa 1800, in the manner of Henry Clay, decorated with husk motifs, the interior with a lid
Condition
The paper-scroll decoration is rather worn and dirty consistent with age and use with some minor losses and restoration. The lid is slightly warped and the staining to the borders is rather chipped in places. The satinwood caddy has had some restoration to the borders and there is a small triangular patch to one corner. There is some filler along the edge above the front patera. The papier maché caddy has rather worn decoration with some minor chips around edges.
