A George IV mahogany extending dining table circa 1825

with D-ends, telescopic action and three leaf insertions, the turned and reeded tapering legs ending in brass palmette cappings and castors

There has been some re-construction to the telepscopic action with some later elements. When fully extended the table sags slightly in the middle. It will therefore need work to the action. Both D-end sections to the ends are currently not fitted properly and will need to be re-attached to the frame. There are some mnor age cracks to the top, some old marks and scratches.All the leaves are a consistent colour. The leaves all have later fasteners and have had minor alterations underneath. The size is very good.
