Description
- 70cm. high, 56cm. wide, 39cm. deep; 2ft. 3½in., 1ft. 10in., 1ft. 3½in.
the serpentine top with projecting canted corners inlaid with a floral spray within a kidney-shaped cartouche on a trelliswork ground inset with flowerheads, above a serpentine frieze drawer on cabriole legs, terminating in gilt-bronze scroll feet
Condition
Old minor restorations to the veneer and to some patches. There are several cracks in the gilt-bronze band on the top on the front right side, but these do not detract from the piece. The mounts are a bit dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. The drawer has a later division for writing implements. The marquetry has lost its colour contrast generally. In otherwise good condition.
