- the bases 42cm. x 31cm.; 1ft. 4½in. x 1ft. ¼in.
each with tray top on turned stem and platform base with moulded feet, the underside of the top stamped Holland and Sons
Condition
Very good overall condition. Very minor repairs and very minor old marls and scratches. The stamps are rubbed. Attractive pair.

Holland and Sons (est. 1815) were among London's most distinguished firms of cabinetmakers. They were the leading supplier of furniture to the Royal household throughout the Victorian period. Other major commissions included the Palace of Westminster and London clubs such as the Athenaeum, the Reform Club and the Oxford and Cambridge Club.
