Description

well modelled in the form of a scholar's rock naturalistically embellished with crevices and grottoes, covered overall with a thick grey glaze suffused with an even network of dark brown crackles, the base unglazed and impressed with the four-character hallmark Shen de tang zhi ('Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue')

Condition

The piece is overall in good condition. There are some natural firing lines to the footrim and base.
