Description
of small rounded shouldered form rising to a waisted neck and tapering to the footrim, finely painted with double chrysanthemum medallions and stylised lots in an alternating double register, beneath a blue border of upright ruyi heads below the neck and above another identical border circling the foot, the seal mark on the slightly countersunk base, the matching cover with a single chrysanthemum medallion enclosed within a double circle and the sides with four leafy floral sprigs
Condition
There are two small minor potting flaws on the rim, each less than 1 cm, that is concealed by the cover. There is light wear to the glaze around the shoulders where the cover touches and a few light scratches to the enamels overall. The colours on the cover are fired slightly darker than the jar.
