decorated with a barbed panel enclosing a horseman under the moonlight drawing his bow and arrow to shoot a crane in mid-flight, all reserved on a floral diaper ground, the reverse with a six-character inscription above a red-lacquer table with two circular apertures possibly used as a brushholder, the sides of the stand decorated with a floral diaper ground

Condition

There are losses to the inlay, and expected age cracks throughout. There are small chips and overall wear. To the red-lacquer table on the reverse, one of the legs has come off and has been restuck.
